Happy New Year!

First of all, I can’t believe it has been a year since my last post but it goes to show how very busy we have been the last 12 months! This time last year we were embarking on a major milestone, Piper’s first birthday and oh how she has changed since then!!  We are beyond excited to see what this next stage brings and looking forward to everything to come!  She amazes us every day and we can’t get over how smart and animated she is! She can sing the alphabet and knows all her letters and numbers to 20, most colors and shapes including a “rhombus” which she has been saying a lot lately along with “octagon” at every stop sign! Singing and dancing are an everyday must from twinkle twinkle little star to head shoulders knees and toes. She also enjoys playing with her doll house and play kitchen. She loves to make “sandwiches” and feed all her stuffed animals and play with her two best friends, our dogs Louie and Thomas.  Some of my favorite words and phrases of hers are “unbelievable”, “delicious”, “oh my goodness”, and “see ya later alligator.” Oh how she makes us laugh and smile! Today she had her 2 year old well visit with the doctor, weighing in at 26lbs 12 oz and 2’ 11.5" tall (50th percentile for weight and 90th for height)!
As I mentioned, it has been a crazy year and there is no slowing down in site! Last spring we spent a few days in Ohio visiting friends and family then later took a trip to Florida with the Raike family.  By summer we had decided to put our townhouse up for rent and move! We closed on the new house in June and spent most of the summer days at the pool and working in the yard! I am grateful everyday for all the space we finally have for Piper and the dogs to enjoy! In Sept we went back to the beach for a mini vacation with Nene and Papaw and Piper absolutely loved it, playing with her “shovel and bucket” in the sand and watching the “waves” and “boats”.  Last winter we enjoyed our annual trip to the Smokey Mountains and Piper played in the snow for the first time! We were able to get some great pictures and had a wonderful trip. We spent the holidays with family here in Georgia and like her mommy; Piper really embraced the Christmas season and all it had to offer. She specifically liked the Christmas lights in which she commented “oh, pretty lights” constantly. As the New Year begins we embark on another crazy year filled with weddings, vacations, projects around the house and many new milestones for Piper! I really hope to stay more connected this year and record more of our adventures on a regular basis.  So enough about us and on to the good stuff, pictures!
Wishing you all a great New Year!
Love,
The Foley’s
